Suomen Yrittäjät: Empowering Immigrant Women Entrepreneurs through She’s Got This Mentorship Program
The Client
Suomen Yrittäjät (or the Federation of Finnish Enterprises), the largest business organization in Finland, launched a national mentorship program for immigrant female entrepreneurs called She’s Got This mentorship program. This program is intended for immigrant women entrepreneurs who want to grow and develop in business life under the guidance of an experienced mentor. Our collaboration started from March to June 2024.
The Challenge
The mentorship program project manager, Marika Peltoniemi, reached out to Laila, owner of Design and Disrupt and also a mentee in the program, to assist with the creation of content critical to the program’s success. This content included…
- Presentation graphics
- Social media content for mentees that could be easily utilized across various platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook;
- Five detailed blog articles that highlighted the unique journeys of the mentee-mentor pairs to be published in the mentor guide and on the Suomen Yrittäjät website.
Marika’s goal was to ensure the content was not only engaging but also accurately represented the experiences and achievements of the mentees.
Our Solution
Our collaboration with Suomen Yrittäjät spanned from March to June. We began by creating social media content (graphics and captions) for the mentees to use in featuring their businesses. These were tailored for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, ensuring maximum reach and engagement. We also wrote captions for the mentees to use, providing a cohesive and professional look across their social media profiles.
Next, we designed presentation graphics for Marika to use during program events, ensuring they were visually engaging and informative. Lastly, we wrote five blog articles for the mentor guide and the Suomen Yrittäjät website. These articles focused on the journeys of five mentee-mentor pairs, illustrating how each benefited from the program. I (Laila) personally interviewed the mentees and mentors, using AI to fast-track the process but ensuring the final content was accurate and has a touch of human writing. All content was created in English, meeting the program’s requirements.
